Set at an elevation of 10,852 ft, Bistaun is a town in
Doda District of
Jammu and Kashmir. It is about 24 km from Chishot and is to the east of
Doda.
Bistaun is connected with Chito in the west, Sho in the north, Dharwas in the east and Alwas in the south. The mountainous terrain and the picturesque locality add to the tourist appeal of this place.
Bistaun can be approached from Kistwar and Doda by road. Jammu Tawi Railway Station on the Jammu – Pathankot line serves Bistaun.
