Thangi

Situated at an altitude of 2,660 m, Thangi is a picturesque town in the Kinnaur District of Himachal Pradesh. It lies along Chitkul-Tiling trekking route. Moorang is around 5 km north and Rekong Peo, the district headquarters, is about 30 km west. Moorang Fort and Kinnaur Kailash Range are the nearest tourist spots. Other attractions in the neighborhood include Pooh, Jorkaden Peak, Raldang Peak, Nako Lake and Kanda Lake. Shimla Airport and Kullu Manali Airport serve the town. Dehradun Railway Station and Shimla Railway Station are the nearest rail junctions.
