Sallaghat is around 10 km from Darlaghat, in the north-western region of Solan District, in Himachal Pradesh. It is on the Bilaspur-Shimla road, near the district's border with Shimla District. Shimla, the state capital and prominent tourist destination, is roughly 35 km away.
