Located in the north-western part of
Kinnaur District, the town of Lang Thang is close to the district's border with
Lahaul and Spiti District. It is bounded by the towns of Tiling (20 km north), Susing Thach (14 km east) and
Tebong Thach (4 km south). The district headquarters,
Rekong Peo, is around 30 km to the south.
