About 15 km south of Ramghat, Surla is located at the north-eastern end of
Goa, close to its border with
Karnataka. It lies in
Sattari of
North Goa District and is around 20 km west of
Jamboti. Bhedshi,
Ponsuli and
Ambeachi-Gavol are nearby important places.
Located at an elevation of 800 m above sea level, this picturesque place is known as the hill station of Goa. The region is ideal for nature camps and outdoor activities. The river Kalsa, a tributary of the Mhadei River, flows nearby.
