Patnem lies near the
National Highway 17, in Canacona taluk of
South Goa District.
Chaudi, the
taluk headquarters, is nearly 3 km north. Other prominent places in the neighborhood include

Patnem Beach, a tranquil beach ideal for spotting dolphins, is the main attraction. Agonda Beach, Palolem Beach and Galjibag Beach are also worth visiting.
