Kesarval is on the border of Mormugao and Salcette taluks, in South Goa District. It is bounded by rolling forested hills in the east and south. The place derives its name from the Indian word for eagles, which used to maintain a colony here.
Situated around 2 km from Nagoa, it is famed for the Kesarval Spring. The water of the spring is said to have medicinal properties. Numerous people from far and near come here to take a dip in this spring.
