Camurlim




The sleepy village of Camurlim on the banks of the river Chapora, is near Bardez in Bardez taluk. Besides Cunchelim, the village is bounded by Colvale in the east, and Oxel and Siolim in the west. Also known by the names Camurlly, Camorlly, and Camara-halli, the place is famous for coconut and caju. The villagers engage themselves in toddy-tapping, caju harvesting, and fishing. Camurlim is also well known for the extraction of sea-shells. Many famous personalities have been born and brought up here. Positioned on the banks of River Chapora, the place offers picturesque views.
