Astagal

Astagal is in Canacona taluk of South Goa District and is around 7 km east of Poliem and 10 km south of Gaundongrem. Other prominent places nearby include Poinguinim, Halge, Majali and Chitakul.

The Talpona river flows close by. Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary, Galjibag Beach, Giant Banyan Tree and Shree Mallikarjun Temple are other interesting destinations.

Goa Airport and Canacona Railway Station facilitate tourists.
