Lahore Gate, situated in
Delhi, is the main gate to the
Red Fort. It got this name because it faces the direction of Lahore. The gate leads to a vaulted arcade, the
Chatta Chowk. There is a big open area in front of the Lahore Gate from where the Prime Minister addresses the Nation during the
Independence Day on August 15.
