Dhawalpur Kalan

Dhawalpur Kalan in Raipur District, is located about 15 km north of Manipur Khurd and 15 km south of Bindra Nawagarh. Located on Chhattisgarh - Orissa border, the place is about 115 km north-east of Kanker. Sitanadi Wildlife Sanctuary and Maharajabandh Lake constitute interesting excursions outside the town. Other tourist spots nearby include Kanker Palace and the Shivani Temple. Nearest airport is at Raipur and railhead at Dhamtari.
