Charama is a small settlement in
Kanker District of
Chhattisgarh. It is at a shorter distance south-west of
Dhamtari. The town is located on
National Highway 43, about 30 km north of
Kanker. The place is on the banks of
Mahanadi River.
The Kanker Palace and the Shivani Temple are the major attractions nearby. Ram-Janaki Temple, Jagannath Temple, Balaji Mandirs, Malanjhkudum Water Fall and Charre-Marre Water Fall are other places worth visiting around.
