Nabinagar, a major town in Aurangabad District of Bihar, is on the banks of Son River - the main southern tributary of the Ganges. Nabinagar has been chosen as the site for setting up the 1000 MW power plant of the Indian Railways, in collaboration with the National Thermal Power Corporation.
The town is 27 km south of Aurangabad, the district headquarters, and 35 km east of Dehri on Sone.
Gaya Airport is the nearest airport. Nabinagar Road Railway Station, of the Eastern Railways, serves this town.
