Khagaul

Khagaul is a taluk headquarters and major town in Patna District. It is located 10 km west of Patna and is of great historical importance.

Aryabhatta, one of the greatest astronomers of ancient India, had an observatory at Khagaul. Danapur, 8 km north-west on National Highway 30, is a religious destination. Patna Airport is the nearest airport. Patna Junction Railway Station is the nearest major railhead. State Highway 2, connecting Patna with Aurangabad, passes through the town.
