Halimpur is a small town in Muzaffarpur District of Bihar. Also known as Nayagaon, the town is perched at an altitude of 154 ft above sea level. Muzaffarpur is about 30 km to the south-west of the town.
Halimpur is connected by road to towns of Aurai, Katra and Bochaha.
Kali Mata Temple and Ramna's Tripur Sundari are the prime pilgrim centers in the neighborhood. Sitamarhi, famed for the Janaki Temple, is around 34 km to the north-west of the town.
