Founded in the 5th Century, Nalanda is known as the ancient seat of learning. Emperor

viharas here.
The world's most ancient university lies in ruins here, 62 km from
Bodhgaya and 90 km south of Patna.
The best season to visit is from October to March. Hieun Tsang Memorial Hall, Nalanda University Complex, Swarajpur Baragon Sun Temple, and Nalanda Museum are the major tourist attractions.
