Morigaon is the seat of administration of
Morigaon District – the second smallest district in
Assam. It is located 72 km north-east of the state capital,
Dispur.
Patekibori Than, Pabitora Wildlife Sanctuary, Sitajakhala, Deosal Siva Temple, Kachasila Hill, and a
dry fish market (largest in Asia) are some spots worth visiting in the vicinity.
Nearest airport is at Guwahati.
Jagi Road Railway Station (24 km) serves Morigaon.
