Zinkata is a scenic village located in
Dhubri District, the south-western boundary of
Assam. It is about 4 km from Agamani.
This small village is famous for two satras namely Zinkata Na-Satra and Zinkata Rajhuwa Satra. The first is an ancient one, built over 350 years ago, where as the second one was constructed in 1969.
New Coochbehar Railway Station serves this place. By road, Zinkata can be easily reached from Agamani, about 40 km from the district head quarter Dhubri. Local transport is by means of jeeps, taxis and rickshaws.
