Ziarat of Shah Farid-ud-Din Sahib is built over the tomb of the great Muslim saint, Shah Farid-ud-Din, at
Kishtwar in
Doda District.
He came to India in the 17th century during the time of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, and visited Kishtwar, then under the reign of Raja Jai Singh, to propagate Islam. A major fair is held here in his memory on the 7th Ashad (July-August) every year. Thousands of pilgrims from far and near gather for the event.
