Previously known as Delhi College, Zakir Hussain College is the oldest college in
Delhi, located near the
New Delhi Railway Station. The college, affiliated to the
University of Delhi, provides 19 disciplines at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. A large number of foreign students also study in this college. The library of the college runs on open shelf system and holds more than 85,000 volumes.
Residential accommodation is provided in the college hostel, strictly under the supervision of the warden. Besides educational programs, Zakir Hussain College offers wide range of extra curricular activities for the students.
