Yatee is an indigenous rain shield of the Apatani tribe, who inhabit
Arunachal Pradesh. It consists of a headgear and a back cover, both being woven from bamboo strips. They are held together by ropes made of twisted bamboo strips. Each part is made up of two layers of weave filled with leaves in between. The edges are made using cane splits. Both the head gear and the back cover are rectangular in shape, each containing a braided bamboo strap that is supported on the forehead.
