The Yanam Mosque is situated on a site provided by the French Government in 1848. Originally a small mosque, it was remodeled in 1956. In 1978, a new one was established after demolishing the old structure. At present around 200 persons can attend the prayer functions at a time. Ramzan, Bakrid, and Milad Nabi are the main functions celebrated.

The mosque can be reached by road or rail. The nearest railway station is Kakinada Town Railway Station (26 km.)
