Established in April 1979, Yadavindra Public School is situated at
Mohali. It was built to pay homage to Maharajadhiraj Yadavindra Singh of Patiala. It is a co-curricular day and boarding school offering classes from I to XII. Special classes are taken for book binding, candle making, stitch craft, photography, journalism, electronics, flower making, rangoli, embroidery, gardening, cooking, flower arrangement, pottery making, yoga, and Indian classical and Western music.
Hostel facilties are provided. The mess serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. The school is having a well-stocked library with more than 12,000 books, 52 periodicals, and 13 dailies.
Extra-curricular activities are also given importance to improve the talents of students. Games including football, basketball, hockey, cricket, volley ball, squash, tennis, table tennis, badminton, kho-kho, taekwondo, judo, karate, boxing, gymnastics, shooting, fencing are played in the school. Adventure games including trekking and and rock climbing are also performed.
