Waltair Club is located at
Waltair in
Visakhapatnam District. It was established jointly by the Officers of the East Coast Railway, East Coast Battalion and other Civilian Officers stationed at
Visakhapatnam in 1883. In its early days, the club was housed in the Old Book Club which was renovated in 1901.
The club has 19 air-conditioned chambers, bar and restaurant, bridge room, banquet hall and spacious balconies, swimming pool, and air-conditioned health club with steam and sauna. The air-conditioned library and reading room consists over 10,000 books and magazines. Movies can be enjoyed in the open-air theater on Fridays.
Recreational activities include polo matches, golf, cricket, squash, tennis, billiards, badminton, table tennis and shuttle. For children, there are play parks and play pen.
Shirts with collar / trousers and covered footwear are recommended. Affiliated club members have no permission to entertain guests.
