Established in 1983, Walchand Institute of Technology in
Solapur is managed by Shri Aillak Pannalal Digambar Jain Pathashala Trust.
Affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur and recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education, the institute offers B Tech courses in Civil, Electronics, Mechanical, Production and Computer Science. It also conducts certificate courses such as PACE (Program for Advancing Computer Education), ADIT (Advanced Diploma in Information Technology) and MSCIT (Maharashtra State Certificate in Information Technology).
Each department has its own library with a number of informative books and reference manuals.
