Wakro is a taluk headquarters in Lohit District. It is about 100 km south-east of Tezu - the district headquarters. Kamphu is located on the outskirts of Wakro.
Glow Lake is a popular tourist spot near Wakro. Wakro also serves as a suitable base for pilgrims venturing to Parashuram Kund. Though the kund can be reached from Tezu, the way from Wakro is the favored one.
