Vyaghra Narasimha Temple




Vyaghra Narasimha Temple is located at Akiripalli in Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh. The main deity here is Vyaghra Narasimha (Lord Vishnu) under the name of 'Sobhanachala Swami'.

The Varaha Pushkarini, also known as Akiripalli Pushkarini, is believed to have been dug by Lord Vishnu in his incarnation as a boar (Varaha). Every year a car festival is held here on the Rathasaptami day.

Malleswara Swamy Temple, Rajyalakshmi Temple and temples dedicated to all the Alwars are neighboring places of tourist interest.

The easy way to reach Akiripalli is through Vijayawada, which is an important rail junction on the Chennai-Delhi line. Frequent buses are available from Vijayawada.
