Vishnu Temple

Vishnu Temple is located at Mannarkoil village in Tirunelveli District. It is about 3 km from Ambasamudram, en route to Tenkasi.

The temple was built by the Cholas in the 13th century. On the ground floor, Lord Vishnu is standing in a sanctum with his two consorts. Some other narrow flight of stairs leads to the second floor where he is resting on Adisesha. The images of the temple are beautifully painted in stucco. There are also murals of Lord Shiva and Lord Brahma in the sanctum.
