Vilveshvarnath Temple is an ancient shrine situated at
Meerut, the headquarters of
Meerut District, in
Uttar Pradesh. The temple enshrines
Lord Shiva as the presiding deity. The temple is regarded as the oldest Shiva temple in the district. Legend has it that
Mandodari, the wife of King
Ravana, is said to have worshipped in this temple.
