Vilakku Kettu

Vilakku Kettu is a kind of offering by the devotees. It is mostly found in the south Indian temples, especially in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Varying in size, some of these seem to be miniature temples. These huge structures are made of pith and deities are placed inside. Shining papers, garlands, tender coconut frond and plantain leaf-stalks are also attached for getting a colorful look and then carried to the temple in a procession.
