Vijaydurg

Vijaydurg is a historic place situated in Sindhudurg District of Maharashtra. Major point of attraction here is the Vijaydurg Fort. It was one of the great naval forts of the Maratha King Chhatrapati Shivaji.

Bhavani Temple, Shiva Temple and Hanuman Temple are other tourist spots worth visiting. Sindhudurg Fort and the Padamgarh Fort are other sites of interest near the fort.

By road, Vijaydurg is 425 km from Mumbai via Goa Highway. Rajapur Road Railway Station and Kudal Railway Station, on the Konkan Railways, are the nearest railway stations.
