Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School is located on Royapettah High Road,
Chennai. Founded by the Mylapore Ladies Club members in 1956, it is headed by the president of the Club. The school is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education and offers science and commerce streams at the +2 level. Covering an area of 5 acres, the school facilities include library, canteen, laboratories for computer science, biology, chemistry, physics and electronics, indoor auditorium, an open-air theatre, art rooms, and an audio-visual room. Coaching for cricket and basket ball, dance, music, yoga and karate are also offered.
