Venur Bahubali Temple is located on the banks of river Phalguni in
Mangalore. The idol of
Bahubali was installed in 1605 by an Anjila prince, Veera Thimanna Ajila V (1558-1616). Apart from the Bahubali statues which are situated on the top of the hill, the 35 ft idol of Bahubali is seen in a flat area in sylvan surroundings. Mahamasthakabhisheka is held here every twelve years.
The temple is at a distance of 54 km from Mangalore, 32 km from Dharmasthala and 20 km from Moodabidri. Boarding and lodging facilities are available at Dharmasthala or Moodabidri.
