Venkatachalapathy Temple




Venkatachalapathy Temple, a shrine dedicated to Lord Vishnu, is situated at Thondikulam village in Palakkad District.

Lord Vishnu is considered as the chief deity of the village. A Dhvajastambam (flag staff) in front of the temple is copper sheeted. Venkatachalapathy hall, in the temple complex, is used for functions such as 'Upanayanam.' Other temples nearby are Ganapathy Temple and two Ayyappa Temples at Muthikulam. The temple celebrates the annual 10-day festival during April-May. The main attraction of this festival is Ratholsavam, witnessed by thousands of people from far and near.

The temple can be approached by traveling 2 km from Palakkad town.
