Vembakottai

Vembakottai is a charming town situated on the banks of Vaippar, in Virudhunagar District. Sivakasi lies about 20 km north of Vembakottai.

The Vembakottai Reservoir, with its landscaped gardens and boating facilities, is the major attraction of Vembakottai. Irukkangudi, Watrap, Shenbagathope Grizelled Squirrel Sanctuary, Sri Andal Temple and Ayyanar falls are other not-to-miss tourist locales in the neighborhood.

Nearest airport is at Madurai. Sattur Railway Station serves Vembakottai.
