Veda Vignana Parishad (School for the study of Vedic Sciences) was established on Dharmagiri Hill, 2 km from
Sila Thoranam, near
Tirupati, by the Tirupati Temple Trust. The center offers courses on Hindu scriptures, in the ancient Gurukula (boarding at the tutor's house) tradition of teaching. The whole setting gives a vibrant feel of the culture as depicted in Vedic literature.
