Vayuvanthol is a natural waterfall in the state reserve forest area in Vithura, about 35 km from
Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of
Kerala. The waterfall is formed by the confluence of two rivers falling down to the bottom of the
Western Ghats. The vigorous flow of the water amid the rocks, meandering through gorges creates breathtaking ripples.
The water from the falls is considered to have many medicinal qualities. Permission from the forest department is required for visiting this place.
Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station is the nearest railhead. Regular bus services are available from Thiruvananthapuram bus terminals to this place.
