Vashishta




Vashishta is a small village on the banks of Beas River in Kullu District. The village is famous for its hot springs and temples.

Legend says that Vasishta, the great saint and the instructor of the Pandavas, was born here. Vasisht Temple is the main attraction. It is also believed that Lord Ram had visited this village to worship the saint. In memory of this event, a temple devoted to Lord Ram was constructed. Thousands of people throng here to worship the deity.

Vasisht Springs, a natural hot sulphur spring, with two separate bathing tanks attract tourists. Vashishta is at a distance of about 3 km from Manali.
