Varada River




Varada River, the only source of water for the Sagar town, is the major river of Shimoga District. The river originates from Vardamoola, which is about 6 km from Sagar town.

The river flows eastwards through Uttara Kannada District and Haveri District and joins the Tungabhadra. There are many big and small shrines on the banks of the river.
