Vanadurga Bhagavathy Temple




Vanadurga Bhagavathy Temple is located adjacent to the Panamkurussikavu temple at Mannarkkad taluk in Palakkad District. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga. The deity is seen as a ferocious eight armed Chamundi or Kali just after the assassination of Darika.

Other deities enshrined on the western side of this temple are Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesh, Lord Ayyappa and Naga. The temple celebrates the festival of Pooram at the same time along with that of Panamkurussikavu.

The temple can be approached from Karinkallathani junction on the PalakkadKozhikode route. The nearest railhead is Palakkad Railway Station, about 55 km.
