Uthra Seeveli




Uthra Seeveli is a famous celebration held in Sree Vallabha Temple at Thiruvalla, Pathanamthitta District. It is celebrated on the Makayiram asterism in Meenam (March-April). The deities from the Kavil, Padappaad and Alamthurathu temples are brought in through the northern entrance of the temple and the northern entrance is opened only during this time.

Various cultural programs and art forms are conducted apart from the religious ceremonies. In the fair, during the festival, household utensils made of granite are in great demand.
