Ushakothi Hills lies on the eastern ghat range of
Sundargarh District in
Orissa. It is about 40 km west of
Sundargarh.
There are mainly two hills situated each other by a kilometer. These hills are of great significance as they house some of the most ancient cave painting sites tracing to Neolithic age. One of these hills is also a place for worship, where under the rock shelter lies a Shivling. During mahashivaratri, the local people throng here in large numbers.
