Urmil Sagar Dam, also called Urmil Dam, is constructed on the Urmil River, near
Shamshera, in
Chhatarpur District of
Madhya Pradesh. It was completed in 1994.
Blessed with picturesque surroundings, this 18 m height dam is a huge attraction. Urmil Dam serves the irrigation purposes for the Nearby villages in Chhatarpur District and Mahoba District are nourished by the water from this dam.
