A picturesque place in
Tirunelveli District, Upper Kodaiyar is at the Southernmost tip of the
Western Ghats bordering
Kerala. Surrounded by verdant forests, the area is noted for its panoramic views. Rubber, cardamom and tea plantations are grown here.
Manjolai is a prominent attraction. Kalachi, Nalumukku, Kuthiraiyerri and Oothu are other places of interest. There is also a guest house of the erstwhile royal family of Travancore, known as 'Muthukuzhi Vayal'. A mini golf course is also conducted here.
Regular bus services are available from Manimutharu and Ambasamudram.
