Situated on the banks of River Cauvery, Unjalur (also spelt Unjalaur) is a small settlement, 32 km from Erode in Erode District, Tamil Nadu. Sprawling over an area of 13 sq km, Unjalur is surrounded by Sivagiri in the west, Kolathupalayam in the north, Kodumudi in the south and Pothanur in the east.
Nearby tourist spots are Kodumudi Temple, Chennimalai, Dharapuram, Government Museum at Karur and Namakkal Dhurgam Fort.
