A stately mansion in Italian Gothic style, the University Buildings in
Pune stands apart from the numerous historical buildings and attracts scores of visitors. It was the official house of the Governor of Bombay Presidency. Today it is a part of the
University of Pune. The main feature of this large building is a 30 m high square tower.
