Set in 4 acres of land, Umed Club is a social club for sports, recreation, and socio-cultural activities. It was founded in 1933 by the ruler of
Jodhpur, H H Maharaja Umed Singh Ji.
Restaurants, coffee shop, conference halls with catering, library, gymnasium, beauty parlor, open air theater and swimming pool are the facilities. Indoor and outdoor games (billiards, squash, tennis, badminton and billiards/snooker) can be played. There is a playground for children. The health club is complete with sauna, steam bath and chilled bath.
Accommodation is provided in twelve rooms with modern amenities. Seminars, competitions and musical and amusement shows are conducted. Training camps are organized. The club celebrates Independence Day eve, Navratri, Diwali and New Year eve in a grand manner.
Umed Club has another branch named Country Club at the outskirts of the city, where camel safari and horse riding can be enjoyed. The Umed Club is open on all days from 06:00 to 23:00 hrs. The club can be reached from Jodhpur Airport (3 km) or Jodhpur Junction Railway Station (2 km).
