Ulhas River

Ulhas River has its origin at the foothills of the Sahyadris, near Karjat. It flows north towards Ulhasnagar and onto Kalyan, where it turns west to Thane and a channel connects it to the Thane Creek. The river then turns north-west towards Ghodebunder, where it opens into an estuary known as Vasai Creek.

The Bharvi, Bhatsa and Kalu rivers are some of the important tributaries of the Ulhas.
