Tuirial Dam is an earth fill dam built on the
Tuirial River, near the village of Saipun in
Aizawl District. The catchment area of the dam is 1,860 sq km and is located about 74 m high above the river bed level. The dam site is rich in siltstone and alluvial deposits.
