Tsokha is a small Tibetan settlement situated in the
West Sikkim District of
Sikkim. Situated at an altitude of 3710 m, it is one of the prominent trekking routes in Sikkim. Tsokha is just 4 km from Bakhim, 11 km from Dzongri and 16 km from Yoksum.
Major point of attraction here is a monastery and a holy lake. The panoramic view of the snow-clad Mt Pandim (10,760') can be seen from here. There are a couple of huts including a trekker's hut to provide camping for the trekkers. The guests are offered Tibetan tea – a salty brew made with rancid butter.
New Jalpaiguri Junction Railway Station is the nearest railhead. Siliguri Junction Railway Station in West Bengal are the nearest major railheads. Civil Enclave Bagdogra serves Tsokha.
